David C. Rohrbach represents and advises businesses and individuals in civil litigation matters, including appeals.  He has represented and counseled clients in a range of matters, including cases involving breach of contract, fraud, tortious interference and other business torts, real estate disputes, trust disputes, and employment issues.  Mr. Rohrbach regularly appears in courts in Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Litigation can be expensive, time-consuming, and stressful.  For many, the litigation process is a distraction from what they really want to be doing—running their businesses or spending time with family and friends and focusing on the things they enjoy.  Mr. Rohrbach works closely with clients from the outset to understand their goals and to determine the most efficient and cost-effective way to achieve them.

Mr. Rohrbach grew up in Connecticut.  He studied history at Yale and earned his law degree at Harvard.  While in law school, Mr. Rohrbach was a member of the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, where he represented indigent clients in disability benefits, landlord/tenant, and family law matters.

After law school, Mr. Rohrbach was a litigation associate at Ropes & Gray in Boston. Before partnering with Ed Rosenthal in 2020 to form Rohrbach Rosenthal LLP, Mr. Rohrbach was a litigation partner at Rich Rosenthal Brincefield Manitta Dzubin & Kroeger in Alexandria, Virginia, and, before that, a litigation partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman in Washington, DC.  He also has taught legal writing and analysis as an Adjunct Professor at American University, Washington College of Law.

Mr. Rohrbach is a member of the bars of Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Massachusetts. He is a member of the Alexandria Bar Association, the Judicial Screening Committee of the Alexandria Bar Association, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.

Outside work, and besides being with his family, Mr. Rohrbach is happiest on or around a baseball field.  He has been a coach for many years with Arlington Little League and other youth baseball organizations in Northern Virginia.
